2022 brought me new opportunities to become a part of the DCI seasonal event staff, as a DCI Meteorologist. I spent the summer working on DCI-run events across America in one of the most challenging summer weather seasons in recent memory. We got the shows in and most importantly, we kept our crew informed and the people safe!

2022 also brought me a chance to work with Bands of America for the Grand Nationals in Indianapolis where we saw 72 degrees on Thursday and we woke up to three inches of SNOW on Finals Day, Saturday morning. An amazing shift and it was my honor to brief the event staff electronically and also on site for BOA Grand Nationals.
The Marching Arts, whether Drum Corps or Marching Band is a passion for me as a fan and as a reporter. I have found that very few media outlets allow their staff to report on Marching Arts but for the past several years I have been bringing these stories to my region and to the Internet. It's a way to share my passion for the music and the people in the activity. The best activity around! Please enjoy samples of my work and follow me @Spencerweather on Twitter for band and drum corps related content during the season and beyond.
Spencer completed his second season with the Pacific Crest Drum Corps as a volunteer member of the health and wellness team, working under the leadership of Dr. Kevin Kloesel Ph.D. from Oklahoma University. The two combine to provide weather information that helps the corps stay safe, healthy and prepared for any weather encounter.
Spencer also joined Dr. Kloesel in providing daily weather support to The Troopers and Santa Clara Vanguard
